Newly available in the Whiskey burst, Oregon Concert Whiskey Burst CE Sitka Spruce – Myrtlewood is a versatile play-style acoustic-electric guitar that has become an instant favourite with players around the world. The Breedlove sound comes through bold and clean with balanced bass, mids and highs reminiscent of rosewood. Engineered to perfection, this guitar is equally suited as a strumming and rhythm guitar or as a nuanced fingerstyle masterpiece. A soft cutaway provides access to the entire ebony fretboard. The maple neck complements the sustainably harvested Sitka spruce and Myrtlewood in tonal perfection. Our Sitka spruce and myrtlewood are locally sourced in the Pacific Northwest – a short distance from where they are hand-crafted in small batches by our dedicated craftsmen. A soft cutaway allows for easy access to the entire ebony fretboard. The guitar’s sound stays true when amplified through the highly reliable LR Baggs EAS VTC electronics. You will sound better, play better and play more on a Breedlove Oregon Series guitar.

Features
Sustainable & Clear-Cut Free Breedlove uses no clear-cut woods in its Made in Bend models. It’s that’s simple. Featuring sustainably sourced all solid exotic and native tonewoods handcrafted by skilled luthiers who are as sensitive to the needs of the earth as they are to building the best sounding and playing guitars available anywhere.

Myrtlewood Top, Back & Sides
Popularized by Breedlove, myrtlewood, from the windblown Oregon coast, combines the best elements of rosewood, mahogany and maple—rich bass, warm midrange and clear, bright trebles—for truly versatile guitars. Each sonically distinct instrument is individualized by the gnarled, wildly varied, but always arresting grain patterns.

Sitka Spruce Top
The world’s most popular topwood, for a reason. Sitka has an ideal strength-to-weight ratio, yielding a strong fundamental, high velocity of sound and a pleasing elasticity. Translation? Sitka sounds great for heavy strumming, light fingerpicking and everything in between.

Concert Body Shape
The Concert is our most popular body shape, favoured by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. The Concert works well when played fingerstyle, as vocal accompaniment, or at a full strum.

Sound Optimization & Hand Voicing
Why do Breedlove guitars sound so good? It’s simple, Breedlove guitars are made with care, with the goal of allowing you to play better, sound better and play more. But it’s also complex, with art, inspiration, craft and science merging together in a process we call Sound Optimization. These models are hand voiced, with experienced luthiers meticulously tapping, listening and shaving away tiny curls of exquisite tonewood as they target specific, measurable frequencies that will make each unique, individual instrument sound its very best. The tone wood species are carefully milled, weighed and considered, with backs and tops specifically tuned to each other to create light, responsive guitars with superior tone and sustain.
