Ibanez BTB 675 5-String Bass, Natural
The BTB675 is a five string BTBsolid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2008. It was made in Indonesia as part of the Standard line.
BTB is an acronym for "Boutique Bass", The BTB series represents one of the nine Ibanez bass families.
Since 1999 BTB basses was conceived to provide features of a boutique instrument at an affordable price for the masses. Counting with Select-grade materials, neck-thru construction, and top quality components, all in a meticulously crafted instrument.
The BTB675 features neck through body construction with a walnut top on ash wings attached to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot position markers. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of Bartolini MK-2 passive pickups with a Bartolini preamp with a three-band EQ powered by two 9V batteries, individually mounted Mono-rail II bridges with 19mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut and Ibanez tuning machines.
The concepts behind boutique basses are often justification for making them extremely expensive. With the advent of the BTB, Ibanez decided that these same concepts of well-selected body materials, 35" neck scale and deep cutaways could be applied to an instrument that anyone could afford.
The new BTB670's sport powerful Bartolini MK2 pickups exclusively designed for the BTB.
